My Last Week Article – All Under One Platform!
I was really ‘shocked and awed’ - to get so many emails from many frustrated Omani Staff especially - of all the things going on now in The Offices – and so many cases devoid of ethics, professionalism, principles, transparencies etc – and ‘dog eat dog’ things going on now in the offices. Some of the cases of people of not receiving salaries for more than 4 months whilst they are still being taxed and being called upon to ‘do more or else’ syndromes!
How can a person be expected to deliver anything when his mind (and his family) is all occupied and centred on bills and penalties-cum-punishments for defaults in payments? For their food and survival? School fees? People are afraid to take any action lest they be included in the next list of ‘due to the business situation we regret to inform you’ aspects. Some have been courageous and brave enough to bring forward their situations to the courts and The Ministry of Manpower for various reasons and aspects.
I was really shocked and awed to see how bad, pitiful and pathetic the offices situation has now become – and forgetting my own situation for once.
